Amazon.com Super Saver Shipping?

If an item is labeled as eligible for free shipping with Super Saver Shipping, are there any hidden fees? Like, do I have to pay a membership fee or something to get Super Saver Shipping? Or is it really just an honest good deal?

The only difference is that it may take longer to arrive because they use FedEx smartpost, which usually takes 3-8 days (guaranteed by 8). FedEx delivers to the nearest USPS to your home and your mailman will drop off the package. This is also why the tracking number they give you is a USPS tracking number that works at Fedex.com.
