Cheap Transport within California for car engine (CHEVY SMALLBLOCK)?

Hi, i am living in Germany and bought a 1986 Corvette engine on ebay. I need a transport from Ontario, CA to Monterey, CA. A friend of miney has a station wagon that will be shipped to Germany in Monterey and that cars owner would place the engine in that trunk. The engines weight is approx. 400kg or 900 pound. The engine is strapped on a pallet. On google I cant find a good company (German users get other google results than Americans). The price is important! Thanks Mo

1. There used to be (still is?) a company called "Forward Air" that was the cheapest way to move heavy objects about the US. Even that I don't recall as being "cheap", but it was the cheapest option.
