Public transport in Toronto?
Hey all, I'll be visiting Toronto soon and I'm planning to get around with a TTC weekly pass. Please could someone let me know whether the weekly pass entitles you to *unlimited* travel within the city? (I heard somewhere that you have to pay extra fees to take 'downtown express routes'..?) Thanks in advance!

- You have unlimited travel but not on express routes where you do have to pay extra. Just don't take an express bus. The website will give you all the details.
- Unlimited travel on all TTC vehicles except downtown expressess (140 series) and routes contracted to YRT (All routes north of steels except 53) and MiWay (Route 58A west of the Airport). See the source sites to see details. You still need to pay the regular extra fare for those routes. The following are the fares in cash for adults: Downtown express: $2.50 MiWay: $3.00 YRT: $3.25 Also note that the pass is for TTC Routes Only. So it can't be used on Go Transit (the GTA's commuter rail/bus system) and on YRT, Viva, and MiWay vehicles operating within Toronto.
- what is a downtown express route? i have never even heard of that.... maybe they mean the buses that come or go to other cities outside of toronto in which case you shouldn't worry about if you're going to be in toronto anyway..... yep unlimited travel on all TTC...
- Get a day pass it's good for multiple people and you can go everywhere.
- visit the site which can may solve your problem
