Asking bus driver to tell you where the stop is?

I am going to London with some friends and we are reliant on public transport. The buses we are catching will be at night and for places we don't know. Is it acceptable to ask the bus driver to let us know when we get to the stop (if we stand or sit at the front) or will s/he be too busy?

  1. I don't see why this would be a problem. How would the bus driver be busy? It's the easiest job in the world.
  2. You can try but Whether they do so or remember to do so is pot luck!....
  3. Completely acceptable. I've asked the bus driver to tell me when to get off before. He just shouted the name of the stop when the bus arrived there. However, I once remember asking and the bus driver forgot, so it's worth asking someone else on the bus too, just in case. x
