  1. Take the #7 train out to Flushing Main Street where you can catch the N20 which will run up Northern Boulevard to Great Neck. I suggest that you get off at Lakeville Road at the top of the hill. By Leonard's.
  2. You can take The Number 7 subway train from Queensboro Plaza to the 61st Woodside stop and then go downstairs to the Long Island Railroad sta at Woodside. Follow the sign to the platform that says "Trains To Port Washington." Buy your ticket to Great Neck from the ticket vending machine on the platform. Then get on the train and it will take you to Great Neck station which will be in the heart of the town of Great Neck in the business and shopping area of the town of Great Neck. The subway ride from Queensboro Plaza to 61st Woodside should be about 10-15 minutes at the most. The Long Island Railroad train ride from Woodside to Great Neck should be about 25 minutes. So the whole trip should take you under one hour riding time. Below is a sample of the train schedule and trip duration between Woodside and Great Neck From Woodside To Great Neck Next >> Depart Arrive Transfer Leaves Trip Duration 10:00 AM 10:25 AM 25 min. It will take you much longer but it is possible to do Follow the instructions below for an alternate way to get to the same place If you follow this way you will take the number 7 train to Main Street Flushing and then transfer to the N 20 or the N 21 and get off at Northern Blvd and Middle Neck Road and then transfer to the N 25 bus to Great Neck Railroad station (N15 bus is incorrect) This will take a very long time as it will be about an almost 30 minute train ride from Queensboro Plaza to Main Street on the number 7 train and then another almost 30 minute bus ride on the N 20 or N 21 and then wait possibly 45 minutes for the N25 bus at Middle Neck Road and Northern Blvd. N25 bus runs about every 40 minutes There is just one thing that I want to mention Great Neck is not in Queens but rather in Nassau County. I do not know if you meant the town of Little Neck which is in Queens. These are two completely different places but you can reach either one of them by taking the Long Island Railroad. With the link down below just enter your travel destination from Woodside to Little Neck. The both towns are service by the Long Island Railroad - Port Washington Line. http://lirr42.mta.info/ Check this link above and you can enter the exact time and date when you want to travel from Woodside to Great Neck
  3. Follow Eimittaa's instructions -- they're spot on 100% correct. If you happen to do this during "peak" travel times, the trip will be even shorter since both Woodside and Great Neck are express stops on the LIRR.
  4. You have a couple of options, from cheapest to most expensive: Option 1: Take the (7) or <7> train to Flushing and then take the N20 or N21 buses to Great Neck. The fare is $2.25 for the subway, with a free transfer to the N20/N21 if you use a MetroCard. The trip should take about 15-20 minutes to get to Flushing, and then about 30-35 minutes to get to Great Neck from Flushing (depending on what part of Great Neck you are going to), so the trip should take between 45 and 55 minutes, plus waiting time. Option 2: Take the (7) or <7> to Flushing and then take the LIRR Port Washington Branch to Great Neck. The fare is $2.25 for the subway, and $6.75 for the LIRR ($5 off-peak), for a total of $7.25-$9.00. The trip should take about 15-20 minutes to get to Flushing, plus another 20 minutes for the LIRR, for a total of 40 minutes, plus waiting time. Option 3: Take the (7) or <7> to Woodside and then take the LIRR Port Washington Branch to Great Neck. The fare is $2.25 for the subway, and $10 for the LIRR ($7.25 off-peak) for a total of $9.50-$12.25 The trip should take 5-10 minutes to get to Woodside, and then about 25 minutes to get to Great Neck, for a total of 35 minutes, plus waiting time. I hope this information was very helpful.
