Can a person with one eye have a drivers license in every state?
I recently saw an episode of Swift Justice with Nancy Grace in which two people were accusing the other of causing a car accident in a parking lot. One of the women had only one eye, due to a previous car accident 15 years ago.(She does wear glassed, due to the one eye) They live in Georgia and the head of the Georgia transportation dept said there is no law restricting a person from receiving a drivers license because they have only one eye. Is this true for every State ? I live in Texas and wonder if that is true here. After all the evidence was presented, it was ruled that the 2 eyed person was at fault and the 1 eyed person was awarded damages.

- as long as the one remaining has good 20-20 vision/it takes some practice to drive like that because of loss of depth perception
- There is no state that restricts a one eyed person from having a license assuming the corrected vision in the remaining eye doesn't cause a problem with driving. In some of the states you can't test on the machine, and have to bring a report from a qualified eye doctor instead, and in some states your license is restricted to only vehicles with two outside mirrors. So yes, if the one eyed person meets the requirements, they can get a license in their state of residence.
