Location Transport

Do people in crutches still use school transportation, or do they use their own?

I've been curious about this for a while... If a student (for example,) breaks his or her leg, Would she still be allowed to use school transport, (yellow schoolbus) or would he/she be expected to find other means of transport?

1. I guess that would depend on whether they could still get themselves on/off the bus.
2. in the US, it is actually required to provide transportation if needed. the student may be eligible for a 504 plan which may give them door to door service...there are other vehicles available, including wheelchair accessible, minivan, even a sedan if need be.
