What is the best shipping option for a heavy box of textbooks I need to ship cross country?

I am moving from Oregon to New York and I need to ship a very heavy box. I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on the best (and cheapest) shipping option I should look into. Thank you.

1. USPS First Class. Price is dependent on how heavy it is.
2. However you ship your boxes you will need to know the size and the weight of each box. UPS ground or FEDEX ground will take 3 to 5 working days for delivery. Check with Box Brothers they run a shuttle truck from Seattle Wa to LA Calif with stops along the way. Call 800-474-7447 or you can email them. If it's just one box you might want to try Grey hound bus line.
