I filed last Sunday in new jersey online at NJ UNEMPLOYMENT. Now no one ever called me, today I went to my local unemployment office I was told I need to go to PA unemployment to collect. I lived in nj last 30 years why is that

1. It is not where you live. It is where your former employer is located. So if your employer is in Pennsylvania, you have to apply to Pennsylvania's unemployment website.
