What is the average cost of shipping containers?
Possibly what the range of price is for building them into a shipping container home? Just for curiosities sake.

- Why don't u call them and ask them? U will need to have a size in mind, and to where its headed. I think they go by weight and size, and where its going.
- Lainey, I think you're referring to the recycling of ocealiner containers for building purposes, right? Well, it's becoming increasingly common--I first heard about it in California, and now it is being used virtually everywhere, but more so, I would guess for storage units. Here's a great, informative, handy article on these, which will hopefully provide you with the information you will need to get what you are looking for: http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Storage_Zone_Steel_Buildings_VS_Cargo_Containers.htm If you seek out a used container, you may be able to negotiate a relatively cheap price for one. Hope this helps, and specifically enlightens you as to the perspective of other possible ways of providing you the space you need. (Who knows, it may be WAY cheaper than starting from scratch in building traditionally, etc.) . Source(s): The Internet. Just whatever is available online and what I have on my mind, including the inclusion of relevant sites, like the one cited above that came about from my creative efforts, which is intended to be useful. Helping people get the relevant info they want is great.
- I've seen them on eBay for around $2,200.00 for a 20' model and $2,500.00 for 40' ones. They have them in various locations around the country.
