how do i start my 2011 vw transporter after running out of diesel?

i ran out of deisel and now van wont start even though ive put over £10 worth of deisel in. I think fuel line/pump needs bleeding or filter cleaning.

1. May have a manual lift pump to prime it Or maybe £10 is not enough quantity

3. Theres no primer on that, you just got to keep on cranking
4. you have to manually pump through the diesel from under the bonnet you,ll see it when looking
5. That's a high pressure D enigine,it's suposed to self bleed but sometimes......... When the key is in the run position a relay operated fuel pump should run for 10 secs or so,turning the key on and off a number of times will prime up to the pump,not starting the engine though,just key off and on,then cranking it over in short bursts. If all else fails I have resorted to a VERY SMALL amount of easy start into the intake,DONT OVER DO IT!!
