Where and how do i get Department of transportation approval "brand" for a product im inventing?

Ive got an idea for a new product and i would like to get DOT branding on packaging as well as for financial assistance. I think it would be a good way to get funding as well. Ive searche DOT website as well as google with no luck. Any help is appreciated.
