Location Transport

How do I build a matter transporter?

Witht he rising cost of gas and the increasing traffic in my city, I'd like to try building a matter-transporter that would reduce patterns (including people) to energy, send that energy to a designated location, and then re-assemble the patterns. How should I go about doing this?

  1. Contact the great leader Zork on the planet X-54 and ask him for enlightenment and for some of his Figgles to help you build the matter transporter. Then go to burger king and treat the Figgles for some Ice Cream. (-:
  2. Wow! Good luck to you. When I was a kid, I thought I would love to build a time machine. First step: get a Phd in Physics. We have all seen Star Trek. I believe that in a book called "The Physics of Star Trek" (or something like that), there was a discussion of the transporter. Apparently, to "beam" a single person from one location to another requires the same amount of energy needed to "run" New York City for an entire year. Of course, 150 years ago, flight was impossible.
  3. Look up quantum mechanics and transport on Google. Scientists have done this with single electrons... Now all we need are more powerful computers and lots o f energy. Also, look into the Casimir Effect.... very interesting solution.
