Location Transport

Already interviewed, but want to apply for another position at a different location?

A company I want to work for has two positions available - both at different locations. I applied for the position in my first choice location and was fortunately called in for an interview. I am now waiting to see if they call me back but just in case, I would like to apply for the same position at location #2. The positions are in different states, but at this point, I don't care where I get the job (if I get the job). Is it a bad move to apply for the position at location #2 if I already interviewed for the location #1?

  1. I think it will be a bad move if you do that coz that mean you are not confident of your self and you don't think that u r qualified for the job on location #1 and if I'm the one who decide that I'll consider you not qualified in case you did that.any way good luck
  2. The answer to your question is Maybe. If you were interviewed by the supervisor for the first location, he or she might be more than irritated if you inquired about the other location. If you were interviewed by someone in HR, they would have jurisdiction over everywhere. In that case, call that person and tell them you would also be interested in the second location. This would give the employer more flexibility in making a final selection.
  3. depends. some applications ask if you have applied for the company. some applications ask if you have worked for hte company if different location, probally different hr people. if its an exectronic or paper application and you apply at that location and its a different hr person, the person you interviewed with will never see the app.
  4. i don't think so, just be very intusiatic for the second position, make sure to be very interested when you tell them that you want the different position. try it, i did it.
