What is your favorite travel location in the US and why would you recommend it?

What is a good family vacation spot, what is good about this location, and what types of price ranges are the surrounding activities?

1. My favorite travel location is Gatlinburg, TN It is just the spot my family has always gone throughout the years. You can have a good time in a weekend for about 200 bucks.
2. consider pigeon forge/dollywood tennessee. It has moutains, streams, every tourist trap in you can imagine (human fly, heliocopter rides, spook houses, gem mining) for the kids and nice music/restaraunting for adults. You can camp pretty cheap, or stay in a hotel, so prices vary greatly. If you are considering camping, try the Ponderosa camp ground and say hi to Ben (seriously) if he is still around.
3. Florida is great. I personally like Key West ! Key West has something for ALL ages . More than enough info online... Flights are quick and cheap in comparison to far away destinations & NO passport needed. Car rental NOT nec.although you could rent scooter! RATES VARY:$135 PLUS a night .. water activities, shop, dine,tour,sunset celebration,constant events there also BEST nightlife !!! BUT,for VERY little kids I might go elsewhere like Disney...
